Four Weekend Masses

Youth Representative to Pastoral Council or a Commission

Sophomores, Juniors, Seniors in High School, or college age students are encouraged to serve as youth representatives on the various Councils/Commissions. Meetings are held the third Thursday of the month beginning at 6:30pm.

Youth Group

This group consists of youth ages 12-18 and young adults that are at the college level.  Fundraising through the year takes place to raise money for the March For Life pilgrimage and for other fun youth events.  There are also events in which giving back to the community is involved. In October, our youth coordinate a Halloween Party. They also participate in Diocesan youth events. Meetings are held on Mondays 6:00-7:30pm during the academic year.

Vacation Bible School

Each summer in mid-August we hold Vacation Bible School. It is for one week from Monday thru Thursday, 9:30 – 11:30am each day. Helpers are always needed to work with the little ones on crafts, music, etc. and as leaders of groups. Sign up for this and you will be contacted when the date is set.

Children’s Choir

Children ages 5 – 12 are invited to be part of our children’s choir which sings for Christmas.  Approximately 4 rehearsals are held before Christmas Eve and you will be contacted regarding the time of rehearsals.

Youth Choir

Come and join our youth choir and sing for special holidays. Ages 13-18 are encouraged to raise your voice in song to enhance our seasonal holiday masses. Rehearsals are scheduled approximately two months before the event. You will be contacted regarding rehearsal times.

Praise Band

If you play an instrument and would like to be part of our Praise Band we would love to have you! Praise Band usually plays for one of the Christmas liturgies, one of the Easter liturgies and the June graduation mass. You will be contacted regarding rehearsal times.

Cantor/Psalmist

If you have strong music skills and would like to share your voice, consider being a cantor or psalmist. Training is provided

Liturgical Ministers

Consider helping out at mass as an usher, Lector (Jr. high and high school), Eucharistic Minister (at least 16 & have received first Eucharist and Confirmation), greeter or altar server (grade 3 or above).  All are on a rotating schedule and training is provided.

Liturgy of the Word with Children

Middle school and high school youth are invited to assist as readers and/or cantors at the Liturgy of the Word with children at the Sunday morning masses. There is an adult presider who prepares a reflection on the readings. Schedule is on a rotating basis from September through May.

Food of Faith

Many of the churches in Bay City cooperate to provide a hot meal to those who would not have one each Sunday afternoon from 2:00 – 4:00pm at Trinity Episcopal Church on Center and Grant Streets. Our parish provides the meal 10-12 times per year. A prep crew is needed, as well as a crew to serve and clean up. Service time is flexible – come early and stay till the end or come for a couple of hours as your time allows.
